Students come from throughout Texas and over 30 states and 15 foreign countries. They represent a diversity of cultures, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds that creates a stimulating and vibrant environment. Resources available to students include numerous computer labs, specialized libraries, galleries, studios, theaters, and performance and recital halls. Importantly, our programs enjoy close working relationships with the Kimbell Art Museum, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Texas Ballet Theater, and the other visual and performing arts institutions in Fort Worth. Internships, practical and diverse off-campus experiences enable students to receive the most current knowledge in their fields from a variety of arts, design, and merchandising professionals.
Our arts programs also offer a wide range of international learning experiences. This is increasingly vital to understanding life in our global community. Our college has programs in London, Budapest, Paris, and Trier, Germany to name a few. More than fifty Arts majors took advantage of these opportunities just last year. But, international study is not limited to those who can travel. In the College of Fine Arts, there are a wide range of international faculty who share their cultures in the classroom, including faculty from Korea, Columbia, Russia, China and Hungary. We also have international visiting faculty, guest artists, and performers who interact with students throughout the year enriching their learning experiences.
