Scott A. Sullivan, Dean
Scott Sullivan has been Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Texas Christian University since 2000. Previously, he served as Dean of Fine and Professional Arts at Kent State University, and as Acting Dean and Associate Dean of the School of Visual Arts at the University of North Texas. Dr. Sullivan holds a Ph. D. from The Joint Program in Art History at the Cleveland Museum of Art and Case Western Reserve University, and he is a graduate of the Management Development Program at Harvard University. He has published widely on 17th century Dutch painting and consults regularly with museums and private collectors on attributions. |

H. Joseph Butler, Associate Dean
H. Joseph Butler has been Associate Dean and Director of Graduate Studies for the College of Fine Arts since fall of 2000; he also serves as Professor of Music and as University Organist. He holds a DMA and Performer's Certification in organ from the Eastman School of Music, an MM from the New England Conservatory, and a BA magna cum laude in music from Bowdoin College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Active as both scholar and musician, he has performed throughout the US and in England, and he has published numerous articles and reviews in scholarly journals. |

Chandler Smith, Director of Development
A 1985 graduate of TCU (B. S. in Journalism with double major in Ad/PR and French), Chandler Smith has worked on the Advancement staff since 2004, starting as Associate Director of Alumni Relations and then becoming Director of Development for the College of Fine Arts. His family has a long history with TCU, especially the School of Music, where his father, Herndon Professor of Pipe Organ Emmet G. Smith, taught for 45 years. Chandler is also a professional actor, performer, and Swing Dance instructor, so his affinity with the fine arts manifests itself in Multiple ways. Another of his passions is antique cars. He currently works on external fundraising for the College of Fine Arts. |

Adam B. Baggs, Assistant Dean
Adam Baggs has worked with the College of Fine Arts as member of the University Advancement staff since 1998. Previously, he served as a senior member of the University Advancement office since 1995 working on the reunion program along with coordinating alumni development activities in Houston and the Midwest. Adam holds a M. P. A. from Bowling Green University and to complete his PH. D. at TCU along with continuing to pursue his guitar studies. He currently is responsible for external development functions for the College of Fine Arts. |

Andie Piehl
Andie Piehl is a TCU alum, having graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1998 with a B. A. in English. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa the same year. Ms. Piehl returned to TCU as Assistant to the Dean of the College of Fine Arts in August 2000.
Ms. Piehl advises Fine Arts students and assists them in a variety of ways. She creates and maintains students' official degree plans, tracks their academic progress, and verifies their eligibility to graduate. She enjoys working with Fine Arts students and seeing them grow into proficient artists, musicians, dancers, actors, designers and merchandisers. |

Martha Thomas
Martha Thomas is Administrative Assistant to the Dean. She has been employed at TCU since October 1990. Martha and her husband, Jim, have lived in the TCU neighborhood for 30 years. She is the mother of two children, Amy (mother of her three grandchildren Eddy, Emily and Ellie) and Brian, an attorney in Houston. As first contact to those entering the Dean's Office, she looks forward to meeting and helping the students, faculty, staff and visitors to the College of Fine Arts. |
